Government

Aeonia is a "point of light" style setting. Very little over-arching government and very, very few cities. Most villages are ruled by either a town elder, or a landed "noble". Though generally respected and important, leaders of any town will nearly always defer to the local Druid. Druids typically command the most respect, both for their secret lore and their ability to heal and commune with nature.

The 4 gods of Aeonia hang in a delicate balance, no one ever becoming more powerful than another. The gods themselves are aloof of their worshippers, preferring to speak through nature itself. The Druids consider themselves the gods mouthpiece to the humanoid races and it is their job to do whatever is necessary to maintain the delicate balance.

• Dreós - God of Fire

• Awyr - God of Wind

Clerics worship either aspects of Light or Darkness. There is no organized church, each Cleric choosing to take up her vows when and where she chooses. At that time the Cleric chooses an aspect of either Light or Dark to champion. These are very vague concepts and open to interpretation.

• Dark Cloak (from Quintessential Druids pg. 55) needs to be bumped up in power a bit, but a good start.
